
Jared Leto does not recognize the allegations of sexual misconduct that emerge in a newly released BBCdocumentary. The actor and 30 Seconds to Mars singer said this in a statement The Associated Press. Leto is alleged to have abused four women when they were still in their teens. The documentary about this follows previous accusations dating from last summer.
Teenage years
The situations of inappropriate behavior are said to have occurred between 2002 and 2016. Four women state that they were still in their teens when the adult Leto made unwanted advances. One woman says she was seventeen when she was assaulted by the actor. Another says she received phone calls when she was 16 in which Leto made sexual propositions to her.
Denial
According to the Suicide Squad actor, the accusations are based on untruths:
I have never crossed the line in this way in my life (…) these accusations are absolutely and completely untrue

The accusations are the main subject of the documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secretwhich was released this week (Wednesday, ed.) by the BBC. The British broadcaster does not reveal the names of the women for privacy reasons, but claims to have thoroughly verified the stories. It APwhich received Leto’s response, was unable to repeat these verifications itself.
Frontman
Leto has been the frontman of the rock band 30 Seconds to Mars for over twenty-five years, and as an actor he played the Joker (among others).Suicide Squad) and Dr. Morbius. In Blade Runner 2049 (2017) he plays a sinister supporting role as Niander Wallace. He was recently seen as Skeletor in Masters of the Universe (2026).
