The Drama (2026) has been shown for quite some time in many cinemas and film theaters due to continued interest, but anyone who missed the satirical rom-com can quickly go to Prime Video. The streaming service will add the film with Zendaya and Robert Pattinson to its offering next month.
Emotional crisis
Just days before their wedding, Charlie and Emma’s relationship is turned upside down when Emma reveals a shocking secret from her past. What should have been a period of love and anticipation turns into an emotional crisis as Charlie questions everything he thought he knew about his wife-to-be. As the wedding approaches, their relationship is tested and they must decide if their love is strong enough to survive the truth.
Central reveal
The Drama is the latest film from Kristoffer Borgli, the Norwegian filmmaker who previously directed Nicolas Cage in the crazy Dream Scenario (2023). A central revelation that is crucial to the course of the plot caused quite a stir online, helping to ensure that the title, produced by A24, is one of the most discussed films of this year. Our own review (4 stars) is mostly positive. “While you can probably find the secret online, it’s definitely worth avoiding,” Jim Groot wrote at the time.
