This documentary series is about the rise of Samuel Bateman, who sees himself as the successor to cult leader Warren Jeffs. We see this story through the eyes of Christine and Tolga, a couple who manage to get very close to him. They gain Bateman’s trust and collect evidence against him.
The series shows how extremely he controlled the people around him, but also how brave the women were who dared to talk to him. This is told with video footage that has never been shown before and stories from people who were there themselves.
