Touch (2024), an Icelandic production from two years ago, can be streamed on Netflix since this week. The compelling drama film about the consequences of the pandemic is well reviewed; The film scores high marks on Rotten Tomatoes.
Emotional journey
When the pandemic forces elderly Kristófer to close the doors of his beloved restaurant, the world around him suddenly comes to a standstill. In that void, he unexpectedly receives a message from Miko, the great love from his student days in London, who disappeared without a trace from one day to the next. Kristófer feels that his own time is running out and decides not to wait any longer. He embarks on a final, emotional journey that takes him from England to Japan, determined to unravel the mystery of her disappearance and see Miko one more time.
