
Good news for action fans: Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) returns to cinemas worldwide. The 1991 classic is being re-released in honor of its 35th anniversary.

On September 3rd Terminator 2: Judgment Day appear in Dutch cinemas. It is no coincidence that this period was chosen for a re-release. In the film, August 29 plays a crucial role as Judgment Day, the day on which the AI network Skynet gains self-awareness and launches an attack on humanity. The film will be released in American cinemas on August 28.
Blockbuster
Terminator 2: Judgment Day is the second installment in the franchise. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays the leading role in both parts. The film was made on a budget of approximately $100 million and grossed approximately $517 million at the time. After 35 years, the film is still known as one of the best-received action films ever, with a current rating of 8.6 on IMDB.
Follow-up
James Cameron, director of The Terminator (1984) in Terminator 2: Judgment Dayhas previously confirmed that he is working on a new Terminator film that will focus on current themes such as the rise of artificial intelligence. The project is in the writing phase. Until this sequel arrives, fans can already go to the cinema in September with a nostalgic feeling.
