After months of silence, Prime Video has finally unveiled the first teaser of The Greatest (2026), the highly anticipated drama series about the life of boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The streaming service has also announced that the series will be released this year. The first images can now be seen.

The Greatest tells the life story of boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The eight-part drama series follows his rise from talented boxer to world icon and highlights his greatest successes in the ring as well as his personal life, activism and the choices that made him one of the most influential athletes of all time. Jaalen Best will star as Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali. It also stars Omari Hardwick, Dana Gourrier, Kai Parham, Michael Ealy, Amin Joseph, Giovanni Ribisi, Erica Tazel and Reno Wilson.
A personal portrait
According to Prime Video The Greatest not a traditional sports series, but an intimate portrait of Ali’s personal life, his family, his beliefs and the sacrifices he made to stay true to himself. The series therefore highlights both the highlights in the boxing ring and the dramatic events outside that made him one of the most influential athletes of all time.
