
A “moratorium” on opening to competition. This, along with wages, is one of the demands which, in mid-June, led to a very successful railway workers’ strike (one in three TGVs stopped, one in two Intercités and very disrupted TER traffic). At the origin of the movement, the CGT, Unsa, SUD-rail and CFDT denounced the creation of SNCF subsidiaries as the regions award batches of regional lines through calls for tender. All regional executives, except Brittany and Occitanie, have done so or are considering doing so soon.
