Since Friday Office Romance (2026) can be seen on Netflix and the romantic comedy is already entertaining many viewers. Enthusiastic reactions are pouring in on social media, with particular praise for the chemistry between Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein. Some viewers even call the film one of the best comedies that Netflix has released in recent years.
Intended for Lopez only
In Office Romance Lopez and Goldstein star in a story that revolves around love, career and awkward situations that arise when two worlds collide. The film is directed by Ol Parker, who is known as a writer of, among other things The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011) and as director of Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! (2018) in Ticket to Paradise (2022). The film was developed especially for Lopez. Goldstein co-wrote the script with Joe Kelly and sent it to Lopez’s team as early as 2023. Unfortunately, the actress had to turn down the project due to scheduling issues. Goldstein, however, stood his ground and later submitted the idea to Lopez’s team again. Ultimately, the actress agreed.
Feelgood
Although the film scores well in terms of entertainment, critical viewers are less enthusiastic. The film currently scores below 50% on Rotten Tomatoes. At the same time, the film seems to be a hit with general Netflix viewers and is perfect for a weekend after a hard work week.
