Not only does she have to battle the totalitarian state of Gilead, but she also becomes embroiled in a psychological war with Serena, the widow of Commander Waterford. June is forced to redefine her trauma-scarred identity and her mission.

Meanwhile, Commander Lawrence, Nick and Aunt Lydia forge a shaky alliance to reform Gilead from within. You can’t get enough of it The Handmaid’s Tale and are you already looking for something to fill that void? Good news, because Disney+ has also had it for a while now The Testaments (2026– ). This spin-off of the drama series takes place years after the events of the original. Highly recommended, if fans are to be believed.
