For those who can’t get enough of the dark world of The Handmaid’s Tale (2017–2025), there was good news a while ago. Of The Testaments (2026– ) we returned to Gilead. The sequel series, which takes place years after the events of the original, is still widely watched on Disney+ after the season finale.

Did you think it was the final end of the story? The Handmaid’s Tale when the hit series with Elisabeth Moss ended last year? Fortunately not! Fans of the acclaimed drama series could simply continue with the spin-off The Testaments on Disney+. This series, which premiered in early April, is still remarkably popular now that the season finale has aired.

The spin-off, which takes place after the original series, was in the Top 10 of the service for weeks and can still be found in this list. Chase Infiniti
The creator of the original series, Bruce Miller, is also responsible for the new success of this series. The leading role of The Testaments is played by Chase Infiniti (One Battle After Another (2025)) and the cast is completed by Lucy Halliday and Ann Dowd, among others. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when the series will return for a second season.
