The very first stills from the new Blade Runner series have been shared! During San Diego Comic Con, Prime Video decided to release the first images of the upcoming action series starring Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer. Entertainment Weekly shares the first photos of Blade Runner 2099.

Blade Runner has now grown into a large and beloved franchise. After Blade Runner 2049 (2017), Prime Video also decides to give it a try. Blade Runner 2099a direct sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, has been in production for some time and filming of the new series was said to have already been completed at the beginning of last year. It remained remarkably quiet around the new one Blade Runner. Until now, because the first stills will be shared during the San Diego Comic Con.
Ridley Scott
Entertainment Weekly hands out the first five stills Blade Runner 2099. The photos give us our first look at Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer in the upcoming sequel. The series, created by director Ridley Scott, stars Yeoh as replicant Olwen, writer Silka Luisa confirms. Schafer will play Olwen’s partner, Cora, a human who doesn’t try to stand out from the crowd like a replicant. Luisa confirmed that too Blade Runner 2099 will take place in a ‘new world order in which the replicants are now the rulers of the city’.
