It could be that we will also see Miles Morales (aka Spider-Man) in live-action guise in the future. Marvel boss Kevin Feige admitted this in conversation with Watching Hollywood. Spidey’s alter ego Morales, who we should of course not confuse with the ‘real life’ version of Tom Holland, will return next year in a third animated film.
Cross-over
A week before Brand New Day storms the cinemas, Feige also confirms his rock-solid confidence in the Spider-Verseseries, which kicked off in 2018 with the beloved superhero’s black alter ego in the lead role. Following the success of the animated films, many fans have suggested online that a crossover might be beneficial, and the Marvel boss now appears to be interested in this:
We certainly have plans for a live-action Morales, and I think that’s the destiny of live-action films: that if the Spider-Verseseries ends, we can add Miles at some point

The role of the animated Spidey has been played by Shameik Moore since 2018, and in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), Electro (Jamie Foxx) briefly hinted at the possibility that there “should be a black Spider-Man walking around somewhere”. In that film we also saw previous portrayers of the superhero appear, with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (2027) is released in 2027 and follows Miles Morales as he is trapped in an alternate universe and tries to save his family.
