At least 11 people died and 19 others were injured in a fire, still ongoing, in an orphanage in the suburbs of Algiers, Algerian civil protection announced Thursday July 16, without specifying the age of the victims.
“The civil protection services are continuing operations to extinguish the fire which broke out at the Assisted Childhood Foundation, located in the commune of Mohammadia,” the organization said in a press release. “The provisional toll of human losses is 11 deaths. »
