Comics, but also animation, gastronomy, the art of disguise (cosplay), music (J-pop) or card games like Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh… In a quarter of a century, Japanese culture has conquered the imaginations of young French people since a first generation nursed at Club Dorothée. Albator, Naruto, or My Hero Academia have gradually relegated to the background the success of the American superheroes from Marvel and DC (the X-Men, Spider-Man or Batman) which had captured the imaginations of young readers of the 1970s and 1980s.
