
La Croix: You were ordained a priest in 2019 within the Moscow Patriarchate which has just, in a decree dated June 26, reduced you to the lay state. How was this vocation born?
Konstantin Kokora: On the advice of my mother, I entered a church for the first time at the age of 17, when I was going through a kind of existential crisis. From there, I began to become more and more interested in religion – without imagining one day becoming a priest.
