
It is a real treasure that is entering the National Library of France (BnF). It certainly already had manuscripts by Albert Camus, notably that of The Plague, but what it now accommodates is the majority of the manuscripts and typescripts of the great French author. “The Camus fund was acquired for 9 million euros, an acquisition made possible by two patrons, the CIC and Hermès,” detailed Guillaume Fau, director of the manuscripts department of the BnF, in front of some of the precious manuscripts, during a press conference this Thursday.
