
Arriving late in literature at age 54 with a notable first novel, Jours de marche (2004), François Garcia, who lives in his native Bordeaux, belongs to this precious brotherhood of doctor-writers. As soon as he entered the literary scene, he imposed a nervous, pictorial and jerky style, where a burst of oral expressions and the skill of a familiar language combine.
