We already had Happy Gilmore 2 (2025) on Netflix and now Will Ferrell is taking on the second golf comedy for Netflix. The ten part series The Hawk (2026) tells the story of fictional golf legend Lonnie and his plans for a glorious comeback. The new images give a preview of what’s to come!
Where goes The Hawk over?
Lonnie Hawkins (played by Will Ferrell) was the absolute number one in the golf world in 2004, but is having great difficulty regaining his old form at this point in his career. His body tells him to stop, but his heart doesn’t want to give up yet.
One more tournament
His ex-wife and his son Lance, the next big talent in the golf world, know he is ready. But Lonnie still needs to win one important tournament to complete the Grand Slam. He refuses to believe it’s over and is convinced he is just one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history.
Cast members
In addition to Ferrell in the lead role, the cast consists of The Hawk also consists of Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Luke Wilson, Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, David Hornsby, Gabriel Hogan and Aida Osman. Ferrell co-created and executive produced the brand new comedy series with Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor.
