The Palestinian ambassador to the UN, surrounded by his counterparts from Arab and Muslim countries, called on Donald Trump on Thursday to put pressure on Israel to prevent “the accelerated annexation” of Palestinian territories.
The Palestinian ambassador spoke to the press surrounded by his counterparts from the countries of the Arab group and those of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), who separately called for an end to the “acceleration of the annexation” of the Palestinian territories by Israel, whether in the occupied West Bank where the expansion of settlements continues or in the Gaza Strip where the army occupies at least half of the territory.
6:30 a.m. – At least 11 dead in Israeli strikes on Gaza City
Israeli bombings left 11 people dead last night in Gaza City and its surrounding areas, said a spokesperson for the Palestinian territory’s civil defense. Nine people were killed in strikes on apartments in the northwest and southwest of Gaza City, said spokesman Mahmoud Bassal.
Two others died in drone strikes in the southwest of the city and in the center, against police personnel, according to Mahmoud Bassal who also reported more than 15 injured. Despite a ceasefire in force since October 2025, the Gaza Strip remains the scene of violence, with Israeli strikes almost daily.
