We’ve had to wait thirteen years for it, but the iconic Scary Movie franchise is finally back! Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris and Regina Hall can be seen again from today in the official sixth part of the beloved satirical film series.
Thirteen years
Scary Movie was released in 2000 and quickly turned into a beloved comedy franchise. The film series consists of crazy parodies of iconic horror films. The last part was published in 201, Scary Movie 5 (2013), and after that it remained eerily quiet about a new part. Fortunately, from today we can go to the cinema again for the latest chapter.
The Substance in Weapons
In the trailer for the sixth Scary Movie we already got a first look at all the horror films that make their appearance for a shameless parody. Come like this The Substance (2024) in Planet 51 (2009) is over, but it also has to be M3GAN (2022), Sinners (2025) in Weapons (2025) believe in the satirical view of Scary Movie.
Twenty-six years after they managed to escape a very familiar-looking masked killer (Ghostface), the Core Four are screwed again and all horror films are mercilessly dragged into it.
Nothing is safe
Twenty-six years after first escaping Ghostface, the iconic ‘Core Four’ is on the losing end once again. Marlon Wayans (Shorty), Shawn Wayans (Ray), Anna Faris (Cindy) and Regina Hall (Brenda) return in Scary Movie to wipe the floor with the modern horror genre. Reboots, requels, elevated horror, ‘legacy’ sequels and ‘final chapters’ that secretly never end: nothing is safe. All rules go out the window, every boundary is crossed. The Wayans brothers are back to tear things down and single-handedly cancel the cancel culture.
