The Lord of the Rings returns at the end of this year. The long-awaited third season of the fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022– ) will first be provided with images this weekend. You can watch the teaser trailer for the new episodes below.
First images of season 3
The San Diego Comic Con took place last weekend and the first teaser trailer was released during the event The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power shared. The new images show that the third season will be a lot darker and more exciting. Sauron is busy creating the One Ring to rule all of Middle-earth. With everyone in danger, old enemies must put aside their feuds and work together to stop him.
New faces
The third season of The Rings of Power also introduces some new faces. It was previously revealed that Jamie Campbell Bower can be seen as Celeborn and that Zubin Varla has been cast as Khamûl the Oriental. A number of new cast members were also announced during Comic Con. We also see Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson and Adam Young and Simon Pegg voices the role of the Balrog.
Release date
The first four episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on November 11. The next two episodes will follow on November 18th and the season finale will be released on November 25th.
