
Orange heatwave vigilance was extended for the day of Thursday, May 27 in Paris and three departments in the inner suburbs, in addition to the 13 departments already at this level of vigilance in the west of France, Météo France announced on Wednesday.
Paris, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne will turn orange from Thursday midday, with maximum temperatures expected from 32 to 34°C, locally 35°C, according to the latest forecast bulletin. Yvelines, Val-d’Oise, Seine-et-Marne and Essonne are on yellow alert, with equivalent maximum temperatures but “less hot” nights, according to the same source.
