
Same age – 84 years old –, same floral jacket and rock-and-roll flamèches, same round glasses, red for her, white for him, Anne and Patrick Poirier unveiled their latest creations in unison at the Nantes Arts Museum (Loire-Atlantique), on May 22. Not without emotion. For more than five decades this couple of artists, fascinated by the ruins of great civilizations, have produced works oscillating between archaeological surveys and distressing futuristic models.
