
Buckets, cleaning tongs and gloves were made available for a large city clean-up operation on this sunny afternoon. Around thirty people, of all ages and nationalities, are participating in this operation on the banks of a canal, in the heart of Berlin. This is the case of Mariia, 22, from Ukraine who “finds the city really dirty, whatever the neighborhoods”. After two hours, this student brought back not only the traditional packaging, bottles, cans and cigarette butts, but also a rusty television set found in a grove.
