
You have been mayor (Union of Democrats and Independents) of Massy for almost ten years and you have been in politics for around thirty years. How did the virus come to you?
I find it hard to say. Politics has always interested me without knowing why. One day in 1992, a friend took me to the Center for Social Democrats’ summer school [parti centriste, ancêtre du MoDem, NDLR]. That’s where I met Bernard Stasi. I loved this man. He had charisma, attention to others, generosity and fragility at the same time. Bernard was a minister, deputy and mayor of Épernay (Marne). He inspired me a lot.
