
7:36 a.m. – Guardians announce attack on Al-Tanf military base in Syria
The Revolutionary Guards, Iran’s ideological army, announced on Friday that they had attacked the Al-Tanf military base in southeastern Syria, according to state television.
The Guards aviation “carried out a surprise attack on the enemy’s special operations command center in the Al-Tanf region of Syria,” state television wrote on Telegram. The United States announced in February that it had withdrawn from the Al-Tanf base and ceded control to the Syrian army.
6:46 a.m. – Army repels missile attack in Doha
Qatar announced overnight from Thursday to Friday that its army had repelled a missile attack, after journalists heard explosions in the capital Doha.
“The Ministry of Defense (…) announces that the armed forces intercepted a missile attack targeting the State of Qatar,” the ministry wrote in a statement published on X.

In Bahrain, where air alert sirens were triggered according to the Interior Ministry, Iran said it was targeting, using drones, P8 helicopters and reconnaissance planes of the American army stationed on the Sakhir base, in response to attacks by the United States against Iranian “urban infrastructure”, in a press release relayed by state television.
