
In the heart of Beijing’s eastern business district, a two-seater tourist plane crashed into a skyscraper on June 26, killing the pilot and injuring thirteen people. At 5:55 p.m., the small aircraft hit the Citic Tower, also known as China Zun, whose iconic shape is inspired by an ancient Chinese wine vase. From its height of 528 meters and its 108 floors, this glass-fronted tower dominates the capital.
