With the heatwave, the rush on portable air conditioners: “We urgently need to cool down”

It is 10 a.m. in the south of Paris, this Monday, June 22, and the thermometer is already showing more than 30 degrees after the night of heatwave which stifled a good part of France. In this DIY store in the 14th arrondissement, the air conditioning section was robbed. “I would like an air conditioner, like everyone else,” asks Lucas, who has been scouring the stores since Saturday, without success. He will leave empty-handed, but with the hope of being called back for the next delivery, in the afternoon.-
