Netflix has announced that the third season of the comedy series has started filming Roosters (2025– ) have started. It will also be the last season of the hit series.
Two successful seasons
The first two seasons of Roosters did excellently on the streaming platform. After the first season had been number 1 in the Netflix Top 10 for weeks, the second season has now also been on the list for more than five weeks. This gives Netflix enough reason to bring the close group of friends back for a third season.

The roles reversed
In the third season we once again follow the group of friends of Mike, Daan, Ivo and Greg, who are trying to survive in modern society. But while this time the men are looking for love and connection, the women are now starting to behave more and more like roosters.
New additions to the cast
In addition to the regular cast of Jeroen Spitzenberger, Waldemar Torenstra, Eva Laurenssen and André Dongelmans, the cast is expanded to include Anna Drijver (Knock Off (2023–2026), Undercover (2019–2022)), Nazmiye Oral (Undercover (2019–2022), Den of Thieves 2: Pantera (2025)) not Ricky Koole (Eyeballs (2019–2025), Double six (2025)).
Release date
The third and final season of Roosters will be released on Netflix in 2027. The exact date is not yet known.
