After previous reality programs such as Good Luck Guys: Surviving Without a Filter (2023– ) in Ladies in the making (2024– ) Prime Video once again engages content creator Robbert Rodenburg as a reality presenter. The famous YouTube host of Open Card is going to present a dating series set in a tropical paradise, and he’s not doing it alone.
Couples in front of the block
Together with internet personality Kelly Mexy, Rodenburg will be the host of Undercover Lovera dating program in game form. Couples who think they can take on any challenge compete for 50,000 euros, but to win they have to resist the necessary temptations. One of the lovers of each couple has to pretend to be single and mingle with other singles. If you are exposed, the cash prize will undoubtedly pass you by.
The series is set up in such a way that the partners can follow exactly how the other is doing among the singles from a nearby villa. “Every look, every touch, every whispered word can make the difference between profit and betrayal,” Prime Video said. Rodenburg and Mexy travel together to South Africa for the presentation.
Recognizability
With the announcement of Undercover Lover Prime Video once again underlines itself as a (co-)provider of Dutch reality content, in which Rodenburg (Open Casa (2023– )) has been a household name for a few years now. The format for this new series is in line with similar titles on Netflix and Videoland.
