Historical story
When a New York mafia clan steals the original manuscript of Dante’s The Divine Comedy, they call in expert Nick to verify it. Possessed by the document, Nick decides to steal it and flees with his lover. Parallel to this runs the historical story of Dante, who centuries earlier fled his loveless marriage to Sicily to write his masterpiece.
