
Criticisms are raining down, scathing, in the Israeli press. After the announcement of a framework agreement between the United States and Iran, no word seems harsh enough against the Israeli Prime Minister. “If he wanted to make one last just gesture towards this country and the Israeli people, he would announce that he was stepping down and let us try to rebuild the ruins he leaves behind,” writes the daily Ma’ariv. In Yediot Aharonoth, the observation is just as severe: “(Netanyahu) shows no cunning; he just publishes press releases. Not only does Israel have no strategy to force Tehran to comply, but it does not even really know how to deal with Hezbollah. »
