
La Croix: You have just left the post of governor of the Banque de France to take over as president of the Fondation Apprentis d’Auteuil: what made you decide to accept this mission, very different from your previous mandates?
François Villeroy de Galhau: It’s not that far away. I have always been very sensitive to social issues and I have been involved in numerous grassroots associations, for example today at the Fondation de l’Arche. I had always told myself that after my public activity, I would like to take responsibility in the social field.
