
Ryan Gosling makes his entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor, known from, among others Barbie (2023) in La La Land (2016), plays Ghost Rider in a new Marvel film. It promises a busy period for Gosling, because he is also part of the Star Warsseries with the upcoming cinema film Star Wars: Starfighter (2027).
New Marvel project
The San Diego Comic Con took place last weekend and that means that many new teasers, trailers and release dates have been released. In addition, as usual, there is also plenty of room for new announcements. One of them is the arrival of a brand new Marvel movie!
Ryan Gosling
Nicolas Cage was part of the MCU for years as Ghost Rider. He will now pass that baton to another actor. None other than Ryan Gosling (Project Hail Mary (2026)) will play Ghost Rider for a standalone film. This marks the actor’s entry into the MCU. “As you know, this is a character I’ve wanted to play for a long time,” Gosling said onstage at Comic Con.
Shawn Levy
For Ghost Rider Gosling is reunited with Shawn Levy, the director he previously worked with for Star Wars: Starfighter. Also screenwriter Jonathan Tropper, who also wrote the new Star Warsfilm worked, is for Ghost Rider of the party. The new Marvel film is expected to be released sometime in 2028.
