Sara Gilson, a 43-year-old influencer, was killed by her husband, whom she had publicly accused of sexual abuse of a child and from whom she was separated.
However, the man was legally obliged to stay a little more than 90 meters from her and her home, according to information from NBC News.
But on the night of July 23-24, authorities in Owasso, Oklahoma, received an emergency call where operators heard a woman screaming and what sounded like a gunshot.
Shortly afterward, Sara Gilson’s son contacted police to report that his stepfather had just shot his mother.
When officers arrived, they found Sara Gilson and Jeremiah Duffey both dead, apparently from gunshot wounds to the head.
In all likelihood it was a murder followed by suicide.

This comes after a girl and her parent reported groping to police by Jeremiah Duffey, the girl’s basketball coach and husband of Sara Gilson, on June 9. Informed of these facts, the latter obtained an emergency protection order the next day.
The police specify that similar behavior would have taken place over a long period, in several cities.
However, since Mr. Duffey was a member of the Osage tribe and the events occurred on tribal lands, the case was referred to the American federal justice system. The local police therefore no longer had the authority to continue the investigation.
The latter then fled after the accusations, according to the American media.
Ms. Gilson subsequently posted a video to TikTok on July 11 using a trendy format that mimics Netflix documentaries.
In this video, she publicly reveals the accusations against her husband, writing “I’m preparing for the day when Netflix releases a documentary about my soon-to-be ex-husband, who I just learned is a pedophile. »
Mrs. Gilson leaves behind her son and a daughter.
