The minor teenager that American singer D4vd is accused of having killed and dismembered had an abortion after their sexual relations, according to text messages revealed Friday in a Los Angeles court.

On the fourth day of a hearing intended to assess whether there is enough evidence to justify a trial against the artist, the prosecution reviewed dozens of messages between him and Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a year before the young woman’s death.

The teenager was 13 at the time.
D4vd is accused of stabbing her to death a little over a year later in April 2025, before dismembering her remains with a chainsaw.
The prosecution suspects him of getting rid of her because Celeste threatened to ruin his musical career by revealing his sexual relations with a minor.
Celeste’s rotting corpse was found last September in the trunk of a Tesla registered in the singer’s name, which had been towed to a Hollywood impound lot.
Aged 21, D4vd is being prosecuted for murder, sexual assault on a minor and mutilation of a corpse. The R&B singer has pleaded not guilty and faces life imprisonment or the death penalty.
The case aroused much interest in the United States, particularly because the artist’s work seemed to echo the murder in a prescient way.
The singer, who notably performed at the Coachella festival, became famous in 2022 when his title Romantic Homicide has enjoyed dazzling success on TikTok.
His iPhone contained numerous photos showing him having sex with Celeste, Los Angeles police detective Corey Farrell testified Friday.
The hearing was also marked by the testimony of the doctor who performed the autopsy on Celeste’s body.
It is “extremely difficult” to determine exactly how long the teenager had been dead when her body was found, said Dr. Grant Ho, because her remains were “severely decomposed.”
D4vd’s defense questioned him in a way to suggest that Celeste may have injured herself, or that she may have been killed during a struggle.
“You can’t rule out that she held the weapon that caused either of these injuries?” “, asked one of his lawyers, Marilyn Bednarski.
The doctor agreed, while specifying that he had not found “marks of hesitation” typical of cases of suicide or self-mutilation.
