Two families accuse staff at a North Dakota hospital of switching their sons at birth 36 years ago, sending each baby back to the wrong parents.
Kyle Bylin and Jeremy Morrison were born on January 26, 1988 at Unity Medical Center. They would have been the only babies to be born in this hospital that day, according to information from CBS KKTV.
The two men and their parents filed a complaint against the hospital on July 7.
The plaintiffs accuse the hospital of negligence, medical malpractice, deception and moral damages.
They are demanding a minimum of $50,000 in compensation.
However, the hospital denies everything. His lawyers say staff always acted with care and skill.
They also judge that after 36 years, it is too late to initiate legal proceedings.
They also argue that if damage was indeed caused, other people or factors could bear responsibility, not the hospital alone.
Both sides requested a jury trial.
