
There were few local residents on the morning of Wednesday July 22 for the inauguration of the new Braunau am Inn police station in Austria. National elected officials, local politicians and, of course, police officers made the trip. And also Stefan Schlögl, journalist and also director of the International Days of Contemporary History in this city, located on the German border. A native of Braunau, he became a specialist in the history of his hometown. “The inauguration of this police station puts an end to fifteen years of discussions on the future of this house,” he says.
