Our opinion: A tribute to the mischievous and affectionate theater of Bertrand Usclat and Martin Darondeau, carried by incisive lines and rhythmic staging. The performance of the actors, all members of the Comédie-Française, is impressively accurate, for a gallery of characters that are both funny and moving.

Our opinion: Akiko Ohku takes the time to capture the sky in all its forms, to observe the delicate rapprochement of the two introverted young people and their budding love. The beauty of the images, the care given to the sensoriality and to the sounds in particular, the inventiveness of a production full of discoveries and poetry remove any boredom.

• The Girl in the Clouds ⭐⭐

Providence, 11 years old, lives with his uncle, with his guinea pig Airbag. Completely in the mood, she is passionate about the series of fantasy novels Sentinels of the Earth. When the author, who turns out to be her neighbor, admits to her that his pen is magical and that he has unintentionally freed Necato, a villain who wants her skin, she decides to go to the great Lake Kabanga, in Africa, to confront him.
Our opinion: The pitch, quite classic, works: by making fiction spill over into reality, director Philippe Riche shows us how the imagination can isolate as well as save. Carried by the voices of singer Louane and actor Jamel Debbouze, the duo moves people or makes them laugh out loud.

• Golo and Ritchie’s Vacation ⭐

For years, Golozer, known as Golo, has appeared on social networks with his friend Ritchie, suffering from an autism spectrum disorder, in La Grande Borne, a disadvantaged district of Grigny in Essonne. In a first documentary part, the two influencers crossed France by bike, from Marseille to Grigny. This time, they are leaving with young people from their neighborhood for a stay in the Camargue. But, more confident and autonomous, Ritchie frees himself from Golo’s tutelage, putting their friendship to the test.
Our opinion: Where the first opus stood on two pillars, the duo’s friendship and their cycling journey, the second seems to have lost this balance. The strength of the bond between the two friends is no longer palpable, replaced by mutual annoyances and tensions. And while crossing France allowed us to show off varied landscapes and multiply beautiful encounters, these holidays go around in circles in the same settings.
