Ryan Reynolds has been part of Marvel in recent years with his antihero Deadpool. After three films, one with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, it remained quiet about a possible new film in that list. Until now, because Reynolds confirms the arrival of a new Deadpool movie.
Major box office success
Deadpool (2016) introduced one of Marvel’s fan favorites with Ryan Reynolds Deadpool and years later the hero is still one with many fans. A second part followed and the last part Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), with Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine, was also a huge success. Reynolds made no secret of his desire for more of it Deadpool and now it finally seems to be coming to fruition.
‘There’s more to come’
Reynolds will announce more of this during Fanatics Fest 2026 Deadpool is coming. He misses some things in the film series. “There’s definitely something I love right now, written by Fabian Nicieza (co-creator of Deadpooled.), and that is really fantastic,” said the actor on stage at the festival, shared in a video on social media. “There is more to come. There will be another one eventually Deadpool-film. It’s going to be great!”
Solofilm?
Deadpool & Wolverine was a true box office success. The superhero film, made by Shawn Levy, grossed more than $1.3 billion worldwide. Reynolds naturally hopes to be able to match that with a possible new part. The actor did not say whether the new production is part of the solo film Deadpoolseries or whether this is an ensemble film with Deadpool in a supporting role. In 2024, Reynolds indicated in conversation with The Hollywood Reporter that he did not see another solo film happening in the future. However, everything can change!
