The National Assembly adopted at first reading on Tuesday July 21, by a very large majority, the bill on the protection of children, enriched during the debates by a significant measure, the imprescriptibility of crimes committed against minors, despite doubts about its constitutionality.
It was adopted by 378 votes to 7. Initially intended to respond to the crisis in social assistance for children, this text, largely amended by the government over current events and then by the deputies, is now refocused on the fight against child crime.
