Ukrainian strikes killed at least six people in the Russian region of Belgorod on Monday, while at least eight people were killed in Ukraine by several Russian bombings, according to local authorities.

In the Russian region of Belgorod, bordering Ukraine, “five innocent civilians” lost their lives in a Ukrainian drone attack targeting a bus, announced the governor, Alexander Shumayev, in a message broadcast on Telegram.
The victims are four women and a boy, he said, accusing Ukrainian forces of having “deliberately” targeted the vehicle which was traveling in the town of Chebekino, located less than 10 km from the Ukrainian border.
According to him, 23 civilians were also injured, including a teenager, and among whom three people are “in extremely serious condition”.
Another Ukrainian strike on a car wash in Belgorod left one person dead later in the day, Shumayev said.
More than four years after the start of the large-scale Russian offensive against Ukraine, strikes on both sides of the front are gaining momentum and causing an ever-increasing number of civilian casualties.
In Ukraine on Monday, Russian strikes left at least eight dead and around 40 injured in several regions, local authorities reported.
In the Odessa region (southwest), a Russian bombing targeting a “civilian enterprise” left at least three dead and six injured, reported on Telegram the head of the regional administration, Oleg Kiper, who published images showing charred vehicles and firefighters in action in the middle of thick black smoke.
In Pavlograd, in the Dnipropetrovsk region (central-east), two people were killed and 15 injured, according to the head of the regional administration, Oleksandr Ganja. In Zaporizhia (south), one person was killed and nine were injured, according to regional manager Ivan Fedorov.
In Kramatorsk, one of the last two major towns in the Donetsk region (east) still under Ukrainian control, two people were killed and four injured in Russian bombings, regional police said on Telegram.
Seven people were also injured in a strike on Kherson (south), according to the regional administration.
During the night from Sunday to Monday, the Russian capital and its region, for their part, suffered a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack which left 10 injured, including three Chinese nationals.
On Saturday, two logistics centers of the e-commerce giant Wildberries in Russia were attacked by Ukraine, killing at least eight people.
