
Past the last house in Freney-d’Oisans (Isère), the road stretches in ever more dizzying bends before suddenly emerging, at an altitude of 1999 meters, onto an impressive wilderness. Half green, half rocky, the Col de Sarenne only accommodates four cars, five cyclists and a handful of hikers this Tuesday morning.
