The photographer, the Yves Rocher or André boutiques, the historic jewelry store, Marius and Fanny’s fishmonger… There is not much left of these shops which earned Avenue Henri-Barbusse de Drancy (Seine-Saint-Denis) the nickname of “little Champs Élysées”. Following sales and retirements, some of these premises were taken over and transformed, in the 2010s, into service activities, such as banks or insurance. Other changes have contributed to forging a new, less glorious nickname for this artery: “the avenue of 135 fast-food restaurants”.
