6:42 a.m. – Iran targets US targets in Kuwait and Bahrain
The Iranian military announced it had attacked US military bases and installations in Kuwait and Bahrain using drones, after the United States carried out new strikes against Iran.
Iranian forces targeted “radar systems, a Patriot air defense system and fuel storage sites” at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, as well as US military installations at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, Iranian state television reported.
6:26 a.m. – Jordanian military says it shot down eight Iranian missiles
The Jordanian army announced in a press release that it had intercepted eight Iranian missiles targeting its territory and which did not cause any casualties or damage. Earlier Thursday, the Iranian military said it had targeted American military installations in Jordan, according to Iranian state television, after the United States carried out new strikes in Iran.
6:15 a.m. – Iraq condemns “drone attack” over Erbil
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi condemned a “drone attack” which violated the airspace of Erbil, in the Kurdistan region (north), his office said on Thursday, after several drones were shot down.
“We have instructed the relevant security agencies (…) in coordination with security forces in the region, to take all necessary measures to prevent such attacks from happening again and to thwart any attempt to undermine the security of our noble Iraqi society, wherever the perpetrators are,” he said, without specifying the origin of these drones.
