Monday July 13, the Minister of the Interior, Laurent Nuñez, announced that the forest area burned since the start of the year already exceeded “the entire 2025 season”. In the Pyrénées-Orientales, Drôme, Indre, and even Île-de-France, the flames are ravaging everything, favored by an intense drought, the result of three successive heatwaves.
