In demonstration, Tadej Pogacar won the sixth stage of the Tour de France alone to take the yellow jersey on Thursday July 9 in Gavarnie-Gèdre, after attacking in the Tourmalet 44 km from the finish.

After an acceleration from his teammate Isaac del Toro, the Slovenian left alone at the entrance to Mongie, a little over 4 km from the summit of the giant of the Pyrenees.
