Since this week, Netflix has acquired another real Oscar winner. The streaming service has expanded its offering with the critically acclaimed drama film Moonlight (2016) and immediately touches many viewers. The film has been showered with positive reactions on social media.
Safe haven with drug dealers
The coming-of-age film tells the story of Chiron, a boy growing up in a deprived neighborhood in Miami. The film tells the story of his life divided into three phases, his search for his identity, sexuality and place in the world. He has to deal with bullying, a drug addict mother and the influence of his environment. Under the wings of drug dealer Juan and his partner Teresa, Chiron finds a safe haven for the first time.
