
This Friday, July 3, the start of the school holidays, Notre-Dame de Bétharram will permanently close its doors, the 26 students who were still educated in its premises being transferred to the Igon site, a few kilometers away, where most of the classes of this renowned establishment Le Beau Rameau have already been located for several years. However, reacted the general secretary of Catholic education, Guillaume Prévost (member of the supervisory board of Bayard, publisher of La Croix), “if a page turns for the Bétharram site, the demands of truth, recognition, reparation and memory remain more than ever at the heart of the commitment of Catholic education”, a condition “of trust”.
