At the time of the peace talks after a very difficult year, with the arrival of summer too, a spirituality of the stopover marking the holy places located very close to the Ecumenical Institute of Tantur came back to my mind. A few meters away, in fact, stands the monastery of Mar Elias. Orthodox nuns take turns there from time to time to open the doors to pilgrims. Inside, the vibrant frescoes display the memory of saints and biblical scenes on the walls. A Russian nun welcomes us warmly. She is keen to share with us a geographical reality marked by a biblical theology of rest.
